About Me
My name is Fred and I am the owner of Allsport Performance Inc. I was born in Bangor, Me in 1970 and grew up in Carmel, Me and now reside in Hermon, Maine. I am the fifth generation of Emerson's to live in the town of Hermon, Maine. I attended Bangor Christian School until 5th grade and finished JR high at Caravel in Carmel. I graduated in 1988 from Hermon High School. I worked at ZF / Lemforder in Brewer since 1988 until they Closed. My wife and daughters graduated from Bangor Christian. One daughter is attending Aveda Beauty School and the other will be attending Empire Beauty School. This will help with photo shoots in the future. I have my own business Allsport Performance Inc. since 1997 which has evolved over the years which now photography is part of it.

My photography started by just taking pictures of products for my business and family photos. I started to upgrade cameras (Canon T7i) and lenses until I finally purchased a full frame Canon camera (6D Mark II) in 2019 and purchased Canon brand "L" lenses which are professional lenses. These lenses can cost as much as few thousand dollars each and are commonly used lens for portraits and events. Unfortunately to produce quality results in photography you will need to spend a lot of quality equipment. I just purchased a new Canon mirrorless camera (R6 Mark II) in 2023 which cost over 3k for just the body and a few accessories. I have over 10k in my set up and looking at investing more this year. I use Adobe Lightroom for editing and I will be purchasing more software for editing this year. I also purchased a new Dell XPS gaming computer that I will be using for editing. No I don't play video games however you need something very powerful to run photo editing software. Since I now have the equipment and some skill to get into professional photography I decided to add that hobby into an additional service offered through my business. I do not have a photo studio so all my photo sessions will be off site. I offer reasonable prices for my services especially as I am just starting out. I do run a full time business so I can only do a limited amount of jobs a year. Usually evenings during the week or weekends.
